Our Methodology

1. Open-Source Foundations. The Stratos Brief relies exclusively on open-source information. Our analysis is built from publicly available data, official documents, industry reporting, regulatory filings, government releases, company statements, conference materials, and other transparent sources. We do not use classified or confidential information.

2. Expert Interpretation. Our value does not come from secret or insider inputs. It comes from experience. Decades of operational, industrial, and policy involvement across the aerospace, defence, and technology sectors give us a clear understanding of how these domains actually work: their processes, constraints, incentives, and inter-segment dynamics. This allows us to interpret open-source inputs with depth, precision, and strategic context, often uncovering implications that may not be apparent to casual observers.

3. Analytical Frameworks. We apply structured analytical methods tailored to aerospace and defence decision-making, including: capability and platform evaluation procurement and acquisition process analysis competitive landscape and industrial-base assessment geopolitical and policy impact mapping technology readiness and modernization-cycle review economic, operational, and strategic risk assessment These frameworks ensure clarity and consistency across all analyses.

4. Case-Specific Precision for Clients. When commissioned to analyze a specific business case, we augment our open-source foundation with client-provided, case-specific inputs. This additional context allows us to work at a far more granular and operationally relevant level. By combining targeted information with our sector expertise and structured methodology, we produce highly precise assessments and practical, problem-solving recommendations.

5. Independence and Objectivity. We operate without political, corporate, or sponsorship influence. All conclusions are derived from evidence, sector knowledge, and professional judgement, not external agendas.
